Attributes

Artists not only have Stats, but they also have Attributes. These range from gameplay Attributes to purely cosmetic Attributes that only change the look of each individual Artist. Let's start with Rarity, and then we'll discuss gameplay Attributes.

Rarity

All Artists have a Rarity that affects some gameplay and some non-gameplay Attributes.

Additionally each Rarity gates the upper bounds of what a given Stat can be.

Additionally, the Rarity of an Artist determines the max Rarity of the Skill Cards that the Artist can have upon creation. It is important to note that if the Artist is upgraded with a Skill Card at a Talent Agency, the Rarity of that Skill Card can be higher than the Artist’s Rarity.

For example, if I had a rare Artist that I just pulled from a card pack, the highest Rarity Skill Card they could have would be rare. However if I wanted to spend Skill Tokens I had to give them a legendary Skill Card, I could absolutely do that. TL;DR: The Rarity rule for Artists and Skill Cards only applies at initial Artist creation.

Genre

Each Artist has a Genre associated with them. This lets you know what kind of music they produce, and how we would classify the musical Genre of their work. These are generated randomly at the time of Artist creation, and range from 14 different options.

Instrument

Each Artist has an Instrument associated with them. This lets you know how they create the music in your band. These are generated randomly at the time of Artist creation, and range from 14 different options
